The new police commander Mohamed Adan Saqadhi was a career military officer and has held several high-calibre positions in the army before he had been appointed an advisor to the President on military affairs during the reign of President Siilaanyo’s government.
On November 1 2019, Somaliland police commissioner Gen. Abdullahi Fadal Ima has died in Hargeisa, the capital of Somaliland after his arrival from Turkey where he had been undergoing treatment.
