The Somaliland Civil Commission (CSC) and the Ministry of Employment, Social Affairs and Family (MESAF) opened a validation workshop for the National Employment Policy jointly developed by the two institutions and supported by the World Bank.
CSC and MESAF have been lately working on developing a comprehensive National Employment Policy that is aimed to guide the Somaliland Government in addressing one of the most pressing issues, the unemployment.
After the validation of the policy, it will go to the Cabinet for approval before it is implemented by the Somaliland Government who is willing to take step forward in order to tackle the problems of unemployment and migration.
The development of the National Employment Policy is part of the Civil Service Strengthening Projects that is funded by the World Bank and Implemented by the Civil Service Commission.

The Workshop was attended by government agencies, civil society, private sector and other stake holders as they have been part of the process in the development of the National Employment Policy.
The Chairman of the Civil Service Commission, Mr Farhan Aden Haibe and the Director General of the Ministry of Employment, Social Affairs and Family have been leading the workshop.
