Eritrea President arrives in Mogadishu for state visit

Horndiplomat-Eritrean President Isaias Afwerki arrives in Mogadishu for a working visit to the Federal Republic of Somalia.

President Isaias’s  historic visit is part and parcel of the consultative Tripartite Summits of the Heads of State and Government of Eritrea, Ethiopia and Somalia.

The two Head of States will have bilateral discussions on areas of mutual benefit.

Upon arrival in Mogadishu, President Isaias was accorded warm welcome by President Mohammed Abdullahi Mohammed and other senior Somali government officials accompanied with the national anthem of the two countries.

The two leaders also held discussion at the National Palace on bilateral relations.

President Isaias Afwerki visit to Kenya

President Isaias will proceed from Mogadishu to Nairobi at an invitation of President Uhuru Kenyatta of the Republic of Kenya.

The two leaders will discuss on the role of Kenya in the peace and cooperation prevailing in the Horn of Africa and on strengthening trade and investment between Eritrea and Kenya.

Foreign Minister Osman Saleh, Presidential Advisor Mr. Yemane Gebreab and Director of the Office of the President, Mr. Amin Hassan are part of the delegation.According to Eritrean Information ministry(Shabait)
