Ethiopian Airlines (Ethiopian) said it has prepared Vision 2030 strategic plan for future growth.
Ethiopian group CEO Tewolde Gebremariam today responded to questions raised by journalists about the company.
Among the questions raised by the journalists include the company’s future plan, absence of good governance and aircraft procurement process.
Responding to the question, the CEO said his company has prepared Vision 2030 plan to further improve the growth of the airlines.
According to him, Ethiopia’s flag carrier has achieved vision 2025.
He said the airlines transported a total of 11 million passengers last year.
The complaints regarding to problems of good governance are associated with the strict disciplinary measure and performance evaluation systems that the company follows, he said.
The company has its own system to handle employee complaints, he said, adding questions raised by those who failed the assessment are inappropriate and politically motivated.
“No one has encountered a problem because of his/her religion and ethnicity,” he said.
Ethiopian has taken delivery of its 100th aircraft, Boeing 787 Dreamliner, last June as part of its ambitious fleet expansion and modernisation drive.
It commands the lion’s share of the Pan-African passenger and cargo network operating the youngest and most modern fleet to more than 116 international passenger and cargo destinations across five continents.
