South Korean companies have reportedly shown interest to invest in Ethiopia.
Following Ethiopia business forum held in Seoul this week, various South Korean companies have expressed their willingness to invest in the country, according to Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The South Korean Daehan Steel Company wants to engage in metal input extraction with over 100 million USD capital in Ethiopia, it added.
Vision Tech Company is interested to produce electric saving equipment and bulbs.
Another company operating with over 600 million USD capital has also a desire to invest in Ethiopia, the ministry said.
Ethiopia’s Embassy in Seoul has started preparations to arrange a pre-investment visit and discussion for Korean businesspersons at the end of December 2018.
