Horndiplomat-Somalia’s President Mohammed Abdullahi Mohammed(Farmajo) arrives in Asmara on Saturday for a three-day official visit to a tumultuous welcome by the Government and people of Eritrea.

The Somalia President Mohamed Abdilahi Mohamed (Farmajo) on his visit to Asmara meets with the Leader of ONLF Admiral Mohamed Omar Osman.

The leader of the Ogaden National Liberation Front(ONLF) speaking to Voa Somali after president meeting in Asmara last night says the Somali president regret and apologized for the reconditioning  of Abdikarim Muse Qalbi Dhagah to Ethiopia.

On August 2017, The Somalia government handed over former ONLF commander Abdikarim Sheikh Muse known as Qalbi Dhagax to Ethiopia, NISA chief Abdullahi Mohamed Sanbalooshe confirmed to the reporters.

NISA forces arrested Qalbi Dhagax in Galkayo and transferred to Mogadishu before handing over to Ethiopia.

On June 28, the ONLF commander Abdikarim Muse Qalbi Dhagah freed by Ethiopia, His release followed an official pardon from the new Ethiopian Prime Minister Dr Abiy Ahmed.

On Jul 5, Ethiopia’s parliament has approved a government recommendation to take three rebel groups off the country’s list of terrorist organizations.

Parliament, which is controlled by the ruling EPRDF coalition with all 547 seats currently held by members of the party, passed the resolution unanimously on Thursday. EPRDF has been in power since 1991.

The groups – Oromo Liberation Front (OLF), Ogaden National Liberation Front (ONLF) and Ginbot 7 – have each been engaged in armed struggles against the government in Addis Ababa.
