Four-time Olympic champion Mo Farah has said he would like to become a fitness coach for Premier League side Arsenal.

British distance runner Farah has supported the Gunners since he was a boy and said he would be open to working for the North London club in the future.

“One thing I really love is football and I have a good relationship with Arsenal,” Somalia-born Farah told The Sunday Times Magazine, in quotes reported by the Daily Mail. “I started supporting them when I first came to Britain as a kid.

“I liked the way they played. They also had a lot of players from African backgrounds. One day, I’d love to be able to work for them, maybe as a fitness coach.

“I’m a big believer in what the body’s capable of with proper training.”

Arsenal’s current fitness coach is Tony Colbert, who has been at the club since 1998, while Craig Gant works as the side’s assistant coach, having occupied the role full-time since 2001.
